Oxi Pellets

Johnson Matthey fabricates two types of oxidation catalysts: pellet type oxidation catalysts for low dust applications and honeycomb type oxidation catalysts for high dust exhaust air. Both types operate with a high cleaning efficiency and reliably reduce the concentration of organic or inorganic substances to well below Air Pollution Control Code limits.

Johnson Matthey fabricates high active mixed oxide catalysts in the form of oxi pellets being more cost-effective than precious metal catalysts. The pellet or honeycomb type catalysts are individually designed for removal of organic compounds like hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons or inorganic pollutants like ammonia, hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide. During oxidation of hydrocarbons or ammonia nearly no formation of CO or NO can be detected.
For gas turbines and engine applications normally high efficient honeycomb catalysts with remuneration of precious metals are being used.

With SINOx® oxidation catalysts Johnson Matthey offers a compact lightweight catalytic converter with high resistance to catalyst poisons and abrasion ensuring a long service life. The high long-term cleaning efficiency at low reaction temperatures and low pressure loss results in low energy consumption and therefore minimized operation costs. Johnson Matthey SINOx® oxidation catalysts can also easily be combined with precious metal catalysts.
